About the event

Join us for an inspiring evening with two remarkable sailors whose lives have been shaped by the sea — and defined by courage, resilience, and purpose.

Jamie Dunross OAM is a Paralympic gold medallist and world record-holding sailor who, after becoming a quadriplegic in a mining accident, defied all odds to sail solo around Australia. A founding member of Sailability WA, Jamie is a passionate advocate for inclusion in sport and has inspired thousands through his achievements and speaking engagements.

Robert Cridge is a long-time Albany local, social worker, and decorated sailor living with MS. With over 30 years of advocacy and sailing experience, including appearances at the World Disabled Sailing Titles and a TEDx Talk titled "Thriving with MS", Robert brings a powerful story of determination and heart.Together, Jamie and Robert will share their unique stories from the water and beyond — exploring what it means to overcome adversity, push limits, and navigate life with purpose.
