After a chance meeting at a backyard party and bonding over their diverse musical tastes, it took some convincing to get all members of South Summit to join the band.

Now, they’re one of Perth’s most talked-about live acts, and they can’t imagine doing anything else. Hidden away from the east coast music scene, South Summit has developed a truly unique sound, influenced by their rock, reggae, and hip-hop roots.

Since their emergence in 2021, they’ve captivated audiences with their genre-blending energy, releasing three EPs—Merlin’s (2021), Creatures (2023), and Tales Of The Yeti (2023)—and their highly anticipated debut album The Bliss (2024), featuring tracks like Givin’ It Up (#102 in the 2024 Triple J Hottest 200).

In 2024, South Summit also made an unforgettable appearance on Triple J's Like a Version, delivering a powerful cover of Roxanne (#179 in the 2024 Triple J Hottest 200).

Ricky Neil Jr. is causing a ruckus in the West Australian indie music scene, and delivered his high-energy, genre-blending sound at Live @ the Town Hall!

Born in Kinjarling (Albany), the stage name "Ricky Neil Jr." is a homage to his father and his roots as a proud Menang Noongar man. Accompanied by an all-star band of young Perth musicians, Ricky delivers a live performance that blends genres from funk and pop to rock and soul.

Inspired by the likes of Prince, INXS, and Silk Sonic, Ricky showcases powerful vocals and dazzling showmanship, channelling a distinctive energy that can turn an artist into an icon of the stage.
